First of all, fuck this guy. He understands nothing about the character apart from his name. Thats like absolutely the worst thing you could base your opinion of anything on. I mean, the guy saw the movie, but since the guy clearly knows nothing of/isn’t a fan of the character, of course he wouldn’t enjoy the got damned origin story for the character nor find him “believable.”
Also, fuck him.
And then there’s this comment, such a win.
“Half the reason I liked Captain America (the movie) is because he (the character) wasn’t a patriotic douchebag like I figured he’d be, he questioned measures. His persistent trait in that movie was compassion. Throw in a tear-jerker ending, and baby, you got a stew going.”
#it really upsets me when people say they dislike captain america because he’s boring #like maybe he’s not as snarky as tony #or as badass as natasha and clint #sure he’s not as adorable as thor #but captain america is far from boring #he’s such a perfectly devised character it actually causes me pain #because he really is just a kid #just a kid that was forced to become a hero #and he took that role gladly because he wanted so desperately to help people #his weapon of choice is a shield for crying out loud! #he doesn’t want to hurt people #he’s not out for revenge or anything like that #he just wants to protect people #to save them
