One of my most favorite comic scenes ever. In case you’ve doubted how brutal I’ve always said Invincible is…

Invincible #84, 2011, by Robert Kirkman and Ryan OttleyCover by Ryan Ottley and FCO Plascencia
This is probably the best comic book cover I’ve ever seen. It just says so much by showing hardly anything. This series is just perfect. And Ryan Ottley’s art has gotten to be astounding.
Pretty much every trade

Invincible TPB # 16. Collecting issues 85 - 90.
I can’t tell you how much I’ve come to love this series by Robert Kirkman. It has to be my favorite comic series of all time. Sorry, Marvel. But it’s just so real and visceral and brutal to boot. And the art is absolutely astounding. I would recommend this comic to anyone.

I want an Invincible movie. It won’t get anywhere near as high ratings/earnings as any of the superhero movies today. But I’d love it.
None of the DC books I still followed held my interest at all.
I tried Nightwing, Teen Titans, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Red Hood And The Outlaws, Swamp Thing and Animal Man.
As of late I’ve been down to Aquaman and Red Hood and both have just fallen off.
So I’m gonna e-mail my comic book store and let ‘em know.
I’m all Marvel and some Image.
Kirkman wasn’t trying to make it a momentous thing… but he did do something that is the cornerstone of media: he gave us all a reaction, a feeling brought on by the storytelling. The feeling sucks, but he accomplished it.
For those of you who haven’t picked it up, you should definitely consider checking it out

Oh I cannot fucking wait for Season 3. Nor Issue 100. I just love this series.
